Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was a good size the staff were very attentive. There were certain areas of the ship were the lighting was burned out or missing; you could see this from the hot tub area when looking up. The ceiling was buckling in certain areas. Carpet stains much throughout the ship. Long lines to get off the ship to get to the ports. Long lines to ask for help at guest services. I felt I was waiting in line for most of cruise.

Pros: shore excursion

Cons: dining service

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The lines were tremendously long\, not much variety\, and did not realize that bacon was being rationed where you had to ask to get more. My arms were too short to reach to get the food because trays were left 3/4 empty and the food was pushed towards the back of the tray.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room with balcony was overall good but it was next to the rooms that were being renovated at the time and construction noise was all day until 8 or 9 p.m. Did not get to relax or sleep during the cruise. The dividers between the balconies vibrated with the winds and movement of the ship causing metal rattling all day and night. There were dents in the wall.
