Good starter cruise
Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28 Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Ship: Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryThis cruise would be a good starter cruise but things like overpriced drinks, fewer meal options that other cruise lines and an out-dated ship keeps experienced cruises wanting for more.
Food and Dining
NOTE: cruise lines such as carnival make their money on the alcohol that they sell. Be prepared for 8-10 dollar mixed drinks with very little alcohol. (you can watch the bar tenders pour HALF a shot of alcohol in each drink per management instructions). If you are planning on getting drunk for the whole cruise it will cost you four figures. My wife and I had a few drinks a day, never once felt tipsy and racked up a 400 dollar bar tab. This is fine with us as we know this is their source of revenue, but just be forewarned.
