smoker's paradise

Sail Date: February 06, 2012

If you don't like cigarettte smoke....stay off the Destiny! The casino and adjacent bar are centrally located on the busy and popular promenade deck. The smoke is not contained and permeates the entire deck.
My wife and I like to dance but there was not one lounge where we could dance at night smoke free.

It was like being back in the 80's where you had to put up or shut up.

We also stayed away from the whole right side of the ship...you know how that is! And the smoke from the lido deck goes right into the sun and sea restarant.

It is what it is and the reason for the review is to forewarn others.

Pros: dining room

Cons: smoke!!!!!

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
dining was excellent but those long buffet lines!!! They have to restructure the sun and sea restaurant and the way they serve the food. the high school cafeteria style is too slow....you got 25 people waiting as one staffer scoops one of the night's selections on one person's plate. Break it up into stations and let the cruisers serve themselves!
