Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28 Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Sail Date: January 28, 2012
Ship: Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)
Reviewed: 5 years ago
Review SummaryThe ship was spacious, clean, and easily navigated (thanks to the maps by all elevators). Staff was excellent, friendly and accomodating. Food in main dining room was delicious and plentiful, but the buffet and cafe style restaurants were hit and miss, with long lines and limited hours. Room service took over two hours - and the orders were incorrect (though the food was fresh and good).
Food and Dining
Cruise director was great-funny, engaging - knew how to handle a crowd. There were two comedians on board, one was terrific (saw him several times). Our stomachs and faces hurt from laughing so much; the other we saw twice, and watched as many people walked out... he was horrible! I don't think I heard ANYONE laugh... I hope that Carnival doesn't waste their money and rehire him again!
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Variety and service
Cons: foul smells on cabin levels
