The best vacation ever

Sail Date: September 10, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We cruised on the Destiny and it was a great ship. We had a balcony room and I don't think I would cruise without at least a balcony room. The staff was wonderful, the food was great, and the entertainment/activities on the boat was a great addition to the cruise.

Pros: I liked the fact that everything was right there that you needed

Cons: I did not care for Jamaica as much

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was awesome, the layout was very easy to find everything and everyone was so great about helping you.
Food and Dining
The food was so much more than we expected it to be.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a balcony room and it was so very nice. Our stateroom attendent was Sony and he was great. the Rooms were a nice size and very comfortable
Service and Staff
There was not a single staff person that was not constantly helpful or had a bad word at all. They were wonderful and seemed to all work together well from the entertainment staff to the wait staff
Entertainment
It was so nice to have planned activities all throughout the day and the entertainment was great. We saw musicals, comedy shows, game shows, and even bingo
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is absolutely breathtaking. We snorkled & sting rayed it up. And the shopping is out of this world. This port is a must see.
Don't Miss: Sting Ray City & Snorkel
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Ocho Rios was beautiful, however I was not expecting the amount of people that would come to you offering items and begging. Other than that it was a good port
Don't Miss: Dunn River Fall is absolutely beautiful
