A Nice Vacation

Sail Date: July 30, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

Very nice trip, however, the ship was packed to the extreme. We had a nice time anyway and learned to do everything at off peak times. The staff overall tried to make the trip wonderful.

Pros: Perfect weather

Cons: Ship was Packed-long lines for everything

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Entertainment
Entertainment was ok.
Ship Quality
The ship could use some updating. It looked worn. Although everything was very clean and well maintained.
Food and Dining
Food was not the best. Way too much fried food at the buffets! Dinners were pretty good. There were better choices at dinner and the quality was higher than the buffets.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our stateroom was actually bigger than we expected. We also had a very pleasant balcony. Always very clean.
Service and Staff
Very helpful and very friendly.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The beaches and the scuba diving are a must. The "wall" for diver's is unique.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Of course, climbing Dunns River Falls is a must.
