Catered to a young "Spring Break" crowd. Lots of drunk young people on deck and in the public areas. There were a nice mix of older and younger people but the ship mainly catered to the younger crowd. The help on the ship was not out standing with the Guest Services being the poorest. Lack of knowledge and/or how to explain answers to questions.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room food was good. The buffet food was average to poor and the buffet dining facilities were poor. The late seating was rushed. We sat at a table for 10 and there was only one other couple at the table. They refused to change our table

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The ony good piece of entertainment was the magician who performed for a 1/2 hour outside the coffee cafe at 10:30. All deck activities were for the Spring Break drunk crowd. Shows in the theatre were stupid and boring.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
For the most part good. We found some staff brusk and annoyed but others were helpful. Our steward was always helpful and did a good job cleaning and preparing our room. The telephone system did not work correctly and the only way to get any help was to call room service. The system was very dated.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Dated decor. Lack of clear instructions on how to get from point A to point B. As first time cruisers we would have liked a better ship layout plan than the one that was handed out.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was clean, except for the rug which was vacuumed but needed to be cleaned. Good size and a great balcony. We were right under the Lido deck and it was noisy at night. We would choose a few decks lower next time.

Love Key West however we were not there long enough to enjoy even shopping for souviners. The disembarking and embarking process had long lines, long waits leaving little time to see anything. We had our honeymoon in Key West and was looking forward to seeing it again since this was our 17th anniverary trip. Very very disappointed.

Had a wonderful snorkling trip. Great crew on the boat. Getting on and off the ship was easy. After snorkling we went on the ship to eat and then went souvinier shopping at the port.

Pros: Dining room meals. Good food, well prepared. Room service and room stewards were very good and the room was clean.

Cons: Long buffet lines with mediocre food. Loud music all over the ship. Very few quiet areas.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? No.
