I had a good time

Sail Date: February 26, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

Kids had a great time, the motion was terrible but we had a good cruise overall. It was my first Carnival cruise, I usually cruise with RC. The food was great and love the outside movie screen.

Pros: Food

Cons: Lost luggage

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Service and Staff
Waitstaff was great, customer service desk was horrible
Children's Programs
Kids hated Camp Carnival because they said most of the staff was not friendly
Ship Quality
Ship looks great
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice size cabins, but carpet and showers look worn
Entertainment
Bingo was fun, and we enjoyed nightclubs and karaoke
Food and Dining
Love the menu choices and waiter entertainment
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
The island tour is a waste of time, the stores are overpriced. The beach was nice and the locals are too aggressive.
Don't Miss: Rum punch, jerk chicken
George Town, Grand Cayman
High priced excursions
Don't Miss: Margarittaville was the best and the beach is beautiful
