Not sure if we would pick Destiny again.

Sail Date: January 24, 2011

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The captains night was only a greet the captain and get $1 off your drinks. Other than that nothing special. The entertainment was so-so.....Most evenings it was passengers turned into game show contestants. The comics were great but the lounge that you saw them in was too small and had to be turned away and come back 3 nights later. They should have beenin the auditorium not the singers and dancers. There was no last night midnight buffet with ice carvings and nice food like we have had in the past on carnival. Our daughter about suffacated in her room and customer service wouldn't do anything about it. Her husband got sea sick the first night in the stuffy room. They kept saying it was within range for temperature but they didn't care that there was no ventilation like we had in the other rooms. They gave them a fan after we asked for that at least. Poor mechanics. But the food and staff in the galaxy dining room was wonderful.

Pros: Wonderful wait staff in the freestyle dining & waitors on deck

Cons: Customer Service for room problems was awful

Service and Staff
The customer service people definitely did not go above & beyond. They didn't care about my daughters comfort and did not offer any alternatives to the problem or to give her another room
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Nice and relaxing, beautiful beach. Luncheon was brought on by the ship. A great relaxing day off the ship.
Grand Turk Island
we did the ultimate snorkel trip and didn't see many fish but did have encounter with stingrays which was wonderful and unexpected byall. Staff on the excursion were wonderful
Nassau, Bahamas
Would definitely go back and stay on Nassau or even Paradise Island at one of the resorts. Nice and fun atmosphere. Lots to do. Shopping fun.
