Awesome Cruise Experience

Sail Date: October 01, 2008

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This was our first cruise and so we did not know what to expect. Add to that we were apprehensive about it when we read prior reviews listed below. BUT everything was awesome. Sure the Destiny's decor may be a little outdated in certain areas, but it was clean everywhere. Our interior stateroom was more spacious that I thought it would be. The food was awesome. We dined at the the Galaxy Rest. everynight and I cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service from the wait staff and cleaning staff was exemplary. The entertainment was also very very good. With so many activities to choose from we never felt we were lacking for any entertainment. Friends we made on the ship mentioned that the Carnival was a far better experience for them in terms of entertainement than the Royal Caribbean cruise they were on earlier....

Pros: EVERYTHING!

Cons: The evacuation DRILL which would have been smoother and non interruptive, had they announced it ahead of time with a designated time slot.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!
