Wouldn't cruise w/ Carnival again

Sail Date: September 10, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our third cruise and by far the worst, the ship was very overcrowded with many children. Most of the music on board was in Spanish as most of the passengers seemed to reside in Puerto Rico. It would have been nice to know this up front especially since we do not speak spanish. There were very long lines at lunch and breakfast and people jumped ahead in line whenever a small space appeared. I could not believe how rude the other passengers were. Our stateroom was nice but our airconditioning was not working properly and would not turn off (it was very cold in our room) I called twice for someone to come and fix it when they finally did they made it worse because it was very loud. I called the desk again and they sent the technician back - He proceeded to tell us he could not fix it because he did not have the right tools and he would be back the next day. The next day at 4:00pm we got a call saying he could not fix it that day as he could not do any maintenance while we are at sea. At that time we shoved towels up in the vent to keep the air from coming into our room. The maintenance man never came back to our room until three days later at 7:30am on the day we were dabarking the ship. I have cruised with others and the ships are nicer, the passengers friendlier and the crew more attentive. Check them out first.
