Ship: Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28 Reviewed: 8 years ago
We boarded the ship with 4 passengers and our room was only configured for 3 passengers including only 3 life jackets, and had a non functional television. Our cabin steward was asked 3 times for an additional life jacket but never provided one. We wanted to book an excursions but our TV wasn't functional, again the cabin steward never resolved the problem. The pursers desk staff was incredibly rude and refused to book our excursion until we went all the way back to our room and try the TV "1 more time." We returned to the pursers desk and handed them our completed paperwork for the excursion which they added to a large stack of others and didn't process it. Our excursion was filled by the time "8 hours later" they tried to process our paperwork for it. They then considerately booked and billed us for an alternative excursion which we had no interest in and wasn't even related in any way to the one we did desire. I was treated like a criminal when I asked them to credit my credit card for the 'unwanted' excursion which was their mistake. The cruise was not without its pleasures though, the food and shows were second to none.
