Overall, the ship was fine.
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
For all the hype about the food on cruises, the food was average, and the hours of dining for most foods were limited.

The nightly entertainment was good. The comedians were hilarious. However, the daytime activities were limited, and focused most on the party crowd. The biggest downside of the cruise, and thus, the poor rating, was that part of my group scheduled a deep sea fishing excursion on during the stop at Half Moon Cay. When we got to the island, after taking the tender over from the ship, they were told their excursion was cancelled because the boat was not running. Would it have been so difficult for the cruise line, who leases this island as their own private island, and staffs it, including all of the excursions, to contact us before we all took the tender over to the island from the ship so we could have possibly scheduled a different excursion? The lines waiting for the tenders were so long that it was taking a couple of hours to get to and from the ship, so to turn around and go back to the ship to try to schedule a new excursion would have eaten up a good portion of the day.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
I have to give this an average rating simply because there doesn't seem to be any cross training among the Carnival staff. If you ask a bartender a question about anything other than something "bartender" related, they are not going to know the answer, this includes being able to give directions to various locations on the ship. Our stateroom steward and dining room staff were AWESOME. Really nice and always helpful.

Cabin / Stateroom

The stateroom was the upside of this cruise. While the decor was not brand new, everything was nicely done.
