A Relaxing Vacation

Sail Date: January 26, 2009

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We had a great time on the Elation. Our itinerary was great - it allowed us enough time to relax, but we were also able to see so much.

Pros: Cruiseline's Private Island was beautiful, Clean Ship, Friendly staff

Cons: Food wasn't as good as in the past.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? Yes!

Food and Dining
The food was not as good on this cruise as it was on past cruises that we have taken with Carnival.
Ship Quality
The ship seemed to be older and a little dated, but was so clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was very clean and slightly larger than on other ships that we have been on.
Service and Staff
Grand Turk Island
I was a little disappointed with this port. They still had not rebuilt since they were hit by a hurricaine in the fall, so there was not much to see or do. Most of the excurisions that they usually offer were cancelled.
Nassau, Bahamas
We did the Atlantis Beach Day excursion. I was concerned about the price when we booked it, but I can now honestly say that it was worth every penny. I would definitely do it again.
Don't Miss: Atlantis
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
This island is beautiful! The water is crystal clear.
