Ship: Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Family (young children)

This ship is well past its prime. It's falling apart - literally. There was rust on our balcony and the interior of the suite was a disaster area {see additonal comments}. Forget about this ship. It's ready to be converted to be used as an undersea habitat.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
If eating dinner at 5:45 in the afternoon after rushing to get back to the ship, to shower, change and navigate one's way to the dinning room is your idea of a relaxing 'dinner' at sea... great. Otherwise, you can get in line with the unsupervised children and try to get something from the buffet.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The water slide was not operating four of the days we were onboard. The pools are small, cramed with unsupervised children and adults of dubious sobriety.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
They didn't appear to have any suitable program for tweens.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
While the Eastern European staff were trying, they couldn't keep up with the filth around the ship discarded anywhere and everywhere by the...ship's passengers {'am being kind here}.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The 'suite' was in disrepair.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The suite was poorly maintained. Tiles were falling off in the shower, there was a crack in the basin, there were half a dozen light bulbs out around the vanity/dressing table and we were told they didn't have any to replace 'em with.

Pros: It didn't sink.

Cons: Perhaps that it didn't sink.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? No.
