Great intinerary, poor experience

Sail Date: September 01, 2007

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The check-in process was fine and the ship was clean and nice. The water slide was a big hit.

The food and entertainment was average, but considering the ship left San Juan and the price to cruise is very low, some of the passengers were a little suspect. Very crowed at the pools and buffets, a lot of kids running around unsupervised.

Pros: 5 great islands to visit

Cons: Felt like we were on a spanish only cruise. Daughter even had to watch Spanish movies at Camp Carnival.

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED) 28? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom (9139) was bigger than we expected and nice. Clean and everything worked fine. Nice balcony.
Service and Staff
Typical cruise ship entertainment. No bad, not great...
Children's Programs
Our Daughter had to sit through spanish movies with no subtitles. She said all the kids spoke spanish.
