Nice Cruise

Sail Date: April 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

The staff and service were great. The food was tastey and enjoyable. On board activities were rather slim and monotonous. This year my bed was very uncomfortable - had a back ache daily from it. Late night snacks were very limited. Main stage shows were short and the stage looked old and shabby. Lots of selling going on which felt pushed in our faces.

Pros: food and service

Cons: on board activities

Recommends Carnival Conquest? Yes!

Children's Programs
Most of the time the kids spent was on deck dancing and in the arcade. I would like to have seen them involved in more activities like using the basketball court\, volleyball\, crafts\, games etc.
Entertainment
Debarkation instructions were clear and presented often the last day. Schedule was provided daily\, but options were slim.
Service and Staff
Everyone was friendly and pleasant. Had to rent an extension cord and had to go to desk to do it. They could have brought it to the room and installed it\, but I had to ask each step. Not a big deal except finding outlets under the bed and string it through the room was not convenient and awkward since it was a medical machine I had to have plugged in for the entire stay. Also\, they might have come to the room to collect it rather than me having to stand in line to turn it in the last morning. Mentioned the bed being uncomfortable and hoped some effort could have been made to turn the mattress or something\, but seemed nothing was done.
Cabin / Stateroom
Again\, the room was very nice\, clean and kept up\, but the bed was uncomfortable for some reason. That's rather major when trying to get a good nights sleep. TV was very limited. Mostly shipboard advertising on it.
