Review summary
As always Carnival Cruise Line puts on a pretty good show. There were some great takeaways and then some things that left you feeling a little disappointed. Our room staff and the waitstaff was excellent. Anything that we needed or requested was accommodated immediately. Another plus on this trip was the entertainment! The Headliner Comedy Club produced some great comedians with lots of different show options including PG options for those that wanted to take their kids. The Broadway Style shows in the Lounge were super awesome with lots of technology and special effects that I had not seen on a cruise ship before! Now for the negatives..... The cruise ship had some plumbing issues so we spent our first 10 hours on the cruise ship staring at the top of the roof at the Ft. Lauderdale terminal. Thanks but no thanks..... and at no point did they ever make an announcement or tell guests during the check in about the delay. I had to hear it from another guest who "saw it all over Facebook". Sorry I am going on a cruise on staring at Facebook. The food at the buffet and in the dining room was just marginal! Guys Burgers, the Mexican bar and the Steak House were good but for 8 days of eating at those three places things got a little boring. Carnival needs to up their game in this area. Finally, I think that the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the boat could have been a little better. Things just look a little old and beat up and need some more attention. In the end would I book with Carnival again? Yes of course but it would have to be the perfect cruise and a great price!

Ship tip
Definitely go to the Steak House! It is the best meal you will have on the boat and well worth the extra price you have to pay!
