They need to review their smoking policy and only allow smokers to smoke in one area of the ship. We paid extra to have a balcony room so we could watch the sunrise each morning from the privacy of our balcony but couldn't because smoke from other balcony was drifting onto our balcony. It was a total waste of money for us to pay for balcony since we were unable to use it. If you go on this ship don't bother paying to use a balcony if cigarette smoke bothers you as the ship seems to allow it on balcony's. I feel that it was very unwise on the cruise lines part to allow this since there was no way for them to monitor the dangers of ash or buttes being thrown from balcony. They warned us from day one and all it would have taken was one time and a fire could have started. We did not feel safe because of this.

Food and Dining

Buffets were a bit of a let down. Been on this ship in the past and it has really gone down hill since then. Room for improvement.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewards were wonderful, they called us by our names and ask about the rest in our group not just once but multiple times through out the day each day. We were there with 10 friends and they knew all of them even though some were on the other side of the ship.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Some areas of the ship needed a spring cleaning, they could only do so much with people always on it. It needs a week off for a thorough cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Room was clean and bed was comfortable, but smoker next door made it impossible to go out on our balcony.

Pros: room stewards were the best and friendliest we've ever had.

Cons: couldn't enjoy balcony room because of smokers on their balconies.

Recommends Carnival Conquest? No.
