The trip was one of the best that we've ever been on even with the rain that we faced at every port of call. The crew on-board the ship kept us entertained with daily giveaways, Hasbro the game show, the Punchliner comedy club comedians (4 different ones during the trip that had all been on tv prior), the wait staff remembering our name, and there was always a schedule of events that you could choose to do or not to do. In regards to the entertainment, we were very satisfied and there's a lot of different options even for a 7-day cruise. In regards to the room, it was actually much better than we expected: clean, slightly larger than expected, and perfect for the week although it would definitely be nice to have more than 1 power outlet in the room (be prepared).

The big complaints that I have are the short times at each port of call because you don't get to see very much in the allotted time (7 hrs in Cozumel, 9 hrs in Jamaica, 9 hrs in the Caymans) and you usually don't get off the boat until 30 minutes to an hr after the time you arrive and you have to be back on the boat an hr prior to departure which does not leave very much time to do anything. The other complaint is the number of pictures. There were a minimum of 3 pictures taken at every single port of call and 12 different backdrops on the boat that you could choose from nightly (whereas the photographers beg you to have your picture taken). Yes, it's your choice whether or not you want to buy the pics but guys, you know what your significant other is going to say... Overall, the picture taking is EXCESSIVE and you can tell that Carnival is using the method of charging little for the cruise itself and planning to make up the difference while on the boat so expect to pay at least double the price of the cruise (because you'll be spending a lot on the boat).

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Small portions in the dining hall but you can order as many starters or desserts as you wish and there's plenty of food at the buffet on the Lido deck. Also, the Thirsty Frog beer is something you have to try!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Awesome wait staff in the dining room, the stateroom janitors are nice as well and they constantly have your room made up

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nice layout, huge boat, not as good as the Carnival Magic but a great size for a week trip

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great size, plenty of room for 2 people, but there needs to be another electrical outlet.

Pros: ports of call, rum bar, top ranked comedians, dining, on-board gym

Cons: length of time at the ports of call, WAY TOO MANY PICTURES TAKEN BY CARNIVAL

Recommends Carnival Conquest? Yes!
