Cruise from New Orleans. Staff was great. Food in the main dining room was hit or miss. Lots of fried food in the buffet. Previously cruised on RC. RC seemed to have a quieter clientele. At 65+ would have preferred a more gentle atmosphere.

Pros: staff

Cons: party atmosphere

Recommends Carnival Conquest? No.

Ship Quality
Older ship that was ready for some rehab. New features are being added now. Carpeting on 7 deck in need of replacement near the service areas. Crew was working hard to keep the ship up.
Food and Dining
Main dining room food was spotty. when it was good it was great. Other nights was only fair. Menu was more limited than RC. Deserts were excellant. Did not use the specialty restraunt. Did the 8:15 dining. Tried pizza once\, never went back for a second slice.
Cabin / Stateroom
Ocean suite 7271. Very well maintained. Service was excellant. Decor is dated but in great condition. Some evening music noise from the lobby bar\, but not objectionable.
Service and Staff
Not a bad interaction with any member of the staff. They made the cruise a great vacation.
Not a large selection of shows. In most venues the music was way to loud to enjoy. Volume does not improve quality\, rather it detracts.
