First Time disappointment
Carnival Conquest Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Review SummaryThe ship was fairly well kept however there were several areas that were in need of attention and repair. I also found that some of the crew staring at the passengers (on the jogging track) and making comments to each other was less than professional
I was disappointed to have the cruise director basically ask the passengers to not tell the truth on their evaluations "if you only had a problem with one or two members of a team don't grade everyone down" does Carnival want the truth or not?
This was to be a romantic getaway for my wife and myself however the boat was geared for more of the younger generation than adults that are paying the bills.
We also found it hard to believe that only one lounge offered a nonsmoking area and it was one of the only areas that had limited entertainment. Also you had to walk through smoker areas, and the kid lounges to get to the aft of the ship and the adult lounges.
The final disappointment was that all of the shows and activities as well as the photo areas were all geared for the late sitting crowd. If you were in the early groups you had nothing to see or do (except shop) until the late dinning was finished.
Pros: The port of calls & the peacefullness of the balcony
Cons: The food in the dinning room
