Review summary

We brought some sodas and it got confiscated because no one told us that we have carry it with us. When I called the line cruise they told me to put it on the suit case and that what we did. Very dissatisfied and disappointment

The personal at Galveston was very rude!

So you're going to rate a whole cruise ship badly because of the personnel at a dock... makes perfect sense

Do your homework, you're the only one to blame!

After I go through security, there is a soda machine in plastic bottles and you can buy as many as you want to carry on. I always take empty bag and buy 10 to twelve. Cheaper than getting on ship. My travel agent also sends me a six pack of Diet Coke to room.

Well now you know. Fortunately it didn't cost much. No body may "tell" you things like that but it is posted on their web site and in thousands of forum posts. If you're ever unsure just ask on Ship Mate, someone will help you out.

Not sure about personnel at the port but Carnival states all policies on their website for future use.. "A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, and milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought onboard on embarkation day and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person"

Same thing happened to me but with a bottle of wine. I thought it had to go in my checked bag instead of my carry on. Rookie mistake. I hope they get a massive hangover from my wine. 😜

That's a cruising bummer. Did they give them back?
