Review Summary
The ship was very clean. The staff was constantly cleaning the floors and all areas of the ship. However\, the floors on the Lido deck were very slippery\, even if you had sneakers on. The service was not very good\, and that to me was the reason I will not cruise with Carnival again.Ship Experiences
Food and Dining
The food was okay\, like normal cruises. The portions are small\, so you will have to order an extra meal or two extra appetizers to get full.
Entertainment
I loved the Punchliner Comedy club. The comedians were very funny and entertaining. The problem is that at night that was the only show to really go to. The other option was to go to one of the bars and listen to singers. They need like different bars for different people\, like maybe a wine bar and a vodka bar and a sports bar.
Service and Staff
The waiter did not go one night where he did not mess up at least two to three items in our party of 7. His only saving grace was that he had an Assistant Waiter named Ricardo\, who worked hard to correct the mistakes and was willing to talk and smile and help us out. Overall\, most of the staff were not friendly.
Ship Quality
The layout is poor. For example\, they have the Serenity deck (21 and over) so that you do not have to hear the young kids. However\, right in front of the Serenity deck is the stairs to the water slides\, which of course the kids are running up and screaming at. So much for serenity. Also\, the basketball deck is right on top of the Italian restaurant\, so if you want to have the pasta lunch and need to get a headache from balls bouncing on the ceiling\, then enjoy. But Carnival does work hard to make sure that everything is very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was a good size. The balcony was nice. I was on the 7th deck in the back of the boat. Unfortunately\, I was in a room right in front of the elevators\, so when people gathered for the elevators\, it would be very noisy. Try to get a room in the middle and not by the elevator if you want to sleep in.
Pros: It was on time at every port.
