Review summary

We just finished our cruise (7/12-7/24). I read reviews before going and thought that they were perhaps a little harsh. After being on the ship, I understand some of the complaints. First the positives: it only rained one day during our cruise of the British isles, the cabin and wait staff were wonderful, numerous ports, the entertainment while sparse was good. Negatives: not a lot of variety in food. Actually tired of the food on the cruise. Limited entertainment as well. The guest services people were incompetent. They put my minor child on a different transfer from me and thought that he could wait at the airport for me for 2 hours. Then initially said that it was overbooked and that they couldn't change it. My cabin mates cruise card stopped working 4 times during the cruise. They finally gave her a replacement card which stopped working the night before we arrived back. I asked guest relations for help after our flight was canceled. He said that he could sell me an excursion for the last day to delay going to the airport (which still left 24 hours before my next flight.). I later found out that they could call the airline for me from the front desk as a courtesy. I went back and asked the same gentleman. He wouldn't do it until his supervisor came over and told him to do it. Would suggest asking for manager instead of dealing with counter staff. Waited for a tender at guernsey port for an hour and a half. The ship left port 2 hours late due to the back up. I met multiple people who only sail princess. I think that I must be missing something. I'm not a fussy person but I was not happy by the end of the cruise. We sailed as a group of 7 and no one was impressed with princess. Have sailed Norwegian, royal Caribbean and carnival and would sail all of them again.

We are Princess only too and we live be them to pieces. I guess that's because we don't expect royalty type of treatment. Great food and lots of choice.

Wow, we didn't experience any of your negative issues on Princess. That being said, if they put my minor child on a separate transfer than mine to an airport...the supervisor would have have been requested immediately. That's unacceptable
