Review summary

Sailing out of Southampton in October to the Caribbean, flying home from Barbados and P&O want to charge £50 each to book a seat on the flight home. I think this is outrageous Shame on you P&O daylight robbery.

Childcare on a flight :-) novel idea it could catch on

seangdawson    7 years ago

That would be a good idea, maybe the kids could be looked after by someone else for flight 😀

Freedom of choice

Just don’t pay it! We aren’t! It is a rip off and who cares if u sit a couple of seats away its only a few hours, just shove some earphones In and watch a movie!

Gymmonster like I said going on the ship in October so can't possibly post a review obviously!!!!!!!

hardly a review of the ship!

The flight is included in the cruise price so no option to book separately

You are correct in what you say. Carnival is profiteering from its UK (P&O) client base. Dollar for dollar, UK prices are significantly higher than comparable ex-US cruises...nothing to do with exchange rates. Asking for an additional £50 x seat whilst not unique in the industry, is none the less, extremely unpalatable. Well said!

p&o prices include flights more and more airlines charge to pick seats its not like p&o to hide extras

No oldbob I clearly didn't that is why I'm furious £50 each person is robbery. I was told by bolsover cruise club it was charged by P&O not the airline. Like I say daylight robbery

jules1    7 years ago

we paid £25 each.

Interesting

when you book a fly cruise with p n o the flight is included in the flight so you can not book your separately. pno charter the flight from Thomas. booking seat is an option but you take a chance you.may not be sat with the people you are with. We've booked ours each was £25 each way. it is a swiz but people pay it so airlines charge it..

GSHaughton    7 years ago

we paid £25 each for the Thomas Cook flight on Saturday are you flying Thomson on Friday that may be the reason

TNTGreen    7 years ago

So don't book the flights through P&O; book directly through the airlines.

tanyawearn    7 years ago

It's not P&O it's the airline, this is always the case if you want to sit with whoever you're travelling with, with every airline

olldbob    7 years ago

did you not realize this before you booked
