Review summary

Nice ship for a short cruise. 50+ cruises to date on RCCL. The staff on the Brilliance are far better than other RCCL ships. Diamond, Concierge Lounge and Windjammer food not the best. Specialty Restaurants are the only way to dine. Food and service was superb and never crowded. Great flexibility on dining times.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast and efficient. Less than 10 minutes to board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Purchased the Ultimate Dining Package that included dinner every night in the Specialty Restaurants and also lunches while at Sea. Food was OUTSTANDING and the SERVICE was even better.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

1 out of 5
RCCL's orchestra and the strings was good. All other bands, DJ, guitar players and piano players/singers sucked.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
EXCELLENT STAFF. Very personable. Always remembered our names and preferences.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Not bad for an older ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bathroom shower needed improvement.

Ship tip

Nice Getaway.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
Fast and easy embarkation and disembarking.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Our favorite destination in the Caribbean. Spent the day at the Westin Resort. Only negative is that the ship is only in port for 6 hours.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
When disembarking, use a porter to bypass the long lines at Customs.
