I would suggest one of the larger class ships. They have more space for more clubs, activities, etc. I prefer the larger ships also, but with a larger ship comes a lot more passengers. You need to make reservations for the shows. Each class has pros and cons.

We haven't done Brilliance but did Radiance. We also felt there wasn't as much going on as we had on other RCI ships. However, we had a very relaxing vacation. We loved the Thermal Suite (few ships offer that). I wish that Radiance had a few more game shows. Our cruise was when school was in session and there were few kids. We would do that class of ship again for a low-key, relaxing cruise.

Are you not able to watch movies outside of a cruise? No spas either? What, precisely, are your expectations? Your Freedom Cruise is only going to have 2 ice shows during the day on an 8 day cruise. Maybe cruises aren’t for you.
