My first experience on royal Caribbean. I've always used carnival in the past and to be honest for what we paid to go on RC we both agree carnival was much better. Cleanliness of the rooms was questionable. Room service was pretty disappointing. I'd say the dining room experience was the same. No real difference there. Loved the two wait staff guys we had every night. They had great personalities. Not enough food options available around the clock if you don't want to dine in the dining room. Any time we tried places were closed. Your only option was to pay a fee to dine in a speciality restaurant. And no 24hr ice cream! :( Laundry service extra, cant just go iron a shirt on your own. Tendering process did seem a lot smoother on RC. We still had a good time with our family. My parents were first time cruisers and didn't know any different, they loved it. But e will continue to sail with carnival in the future.
