Review SummaryWe recently spent two weeks on the Brilliance of The Seas on a trans-Atlantic cruise from Harwich\, England to Boston\, Mass. Overall\, it was a great experience. Even during cold\, wet sea days that kept everyone off the open decks\, there was plenty to do and the cheerful atmosphere of the ship was everywhere. Captain Stig Nilsen is not only great ay his job\, he is also very visible and approachable. I've never seen so much of a Captain on any other cruise!
What I will always remember about Brilliance of the Seas is the creative use of the central atrium\, where there was always music (and really good music) and dancing...even an aerial show! Excellent entertainment every night (and matinees on the last 5 sea days) and a good variety of activities during the day. Dru Pavlov\, the Cruise Director\, is the best I've ever experienced on any cruise. He and his staff are treasures.
Food and Dining
The only negative - very little information about ports\, the daily bulletin being more of an ad for the spa and other ways to spend your money\,
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Great itinerary; very friendly\, fun ship; excellent entertainment
Cons: little or no port information\, mediocre specialty dining
