Mostly what we expected

Sail Date: August 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We have taken many cruises before so nothing in this ship was more impressive than we knew; it was nice though that it met our expectations not being below average; too many religious advertisements

Pros: we were lucky with our stateroom\, location\, size\, care were all pretty good for the money

Cons: TV stations are very limited; lots of smoking int he casino; total disregard for LGBT passengers

Recommends Brilliance of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
They tried to bring in local entertainers and my favorite was a a Tenor in Cork\, Ireland. The shows were fine especially the RC dancers and band.
Service and Staff
Never heard back from them when I question about GLBT schedule in the daily program indicating a bit of homophobic feeling;
Cabin / Stateroom
Our stateroom was nice and comfortable in the 4th floor\, close to everything and luckily not noisy; we had excellent cleaning service
Food and Dining
Food is OK\, there was a large variety in the buffet (good Indian food;) nothing exceptional; no lobster dinners; most of the waiters were fantastic
Ship Quality
A bit crowded with shops and bars and people everywhere but most ships are like that.
