Sail date: October 18, 2010

Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Cabin type: Balcony

Review summary

The ship was just the right size. It was not so big that you felt lost in the shuffle and so small that you felt threatened by the "heavy seas" that occur on the Mediterrean Sea.

Ports of call

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Florence is a "must see". Even in the pouring rain, this city was a gem of culture and uniqueness.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

We had our own guide for the city who took us to the Partheon and showed us the changing of the guard at the Palace.
Don't Miss: The Partheon

Santorini, Greece

This entire town is a "must see". It is so unusual and never to be forgotten whether you are riding up its cable car, riding on a donkey or having a cup of coffee overlooking the port.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
Ephesus was phenomenal. Our tour with Royal Carribean included lunch at Pine Bay. The Turkish food was excellent and abundant.

Naples, Italy

I had always wanted to bring my husband and my friends back to the "Amalfi Coast". We spent the day with a private limo driver touring this amazing coastline.
Don't Miss: Don't miss having wine and Italian food overlooking the towns of Positano, Amalfi etc and the Amalfi Coast itself!!

Pros: The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were totally pampered.

Cons: I didn't like the way the staff were overworked.
