Ship: Brilliance of the Seas Reviewed: 7 years ago
From beginning to end, the level of service and food quality has improved appreciably in the past two years on Royal Caribbean. Our two prior RCI cruises left us wondering if the line had lost its commitment to providing a quality product. Apparently, they got the message and worked out the problems. We had an easy time embarking, the food in the dining room and Windjammer were great, and the overall service was incredible. Waiters and stewards went out of their way to accommodate every request we made. If we encountered a problem in one of the public areas, we reported it to the staff. Instead of taking the "it's not my job" attitude, they saw that the problem was addressed. One can't ask for more, since we know problems do crop up at times. The entertainment was better than in the recent past as well. The Drifters did a show as did Jay Johnson (the ventriloquist of the 70's show "Soap"). To round out a positive experience, we shot a few games of pool during a storm on some impressive gyro-controlled billiard tables. They were remarkable. We give this ship the highest grade.
