I've had better but this was definitely not a "ruined" vacation. You just expect to be pampered a bit more on a cruise line of this reputation.
Food and Dining

Disappointed in the buffet. Closed at midnight, 24- hour service was available only on deck 13, limited to pizza and pasta. Milkshake machine was broken. Buffet was advertized in cruise compass as being open on port day but was closed. Had to dress and go to the dining room in the middle of the day. Drink prices were inconsistent and appeared to change daily. Servers would go around with the "drink of the day" and then when you ordered at another bar, you discovered the drink of the day was something different. Ordered room service that was never received. Others in our group experienced the same. No lobster or crab as experienced on previous cruise. However, waiters in Minstrel dining room were second to none, and did extremely well with providing good service. The ship seemed to be understaffed at best in this department. On the first day of the cruise they ran out of silverware for about 45 minutes. In Intermittently would run out of hamburgers, making dining a "chore" at times

Staff, except for stateroom attendent who walked in without knocking, was extremely helpful and did the best they could.

Cleanliness and decor was wonderful. There was an intermittent "sewer" smell throughout the ship, however, they need to do something about this.

Stateroom was comfortable and clean throughout the cruise. This is my lowest rating because of the following: fresh varnish on our balcony rail during the cruise?!; and our stateroom attendant walked in without knocking at 9 am one morning. I expect more than this.
