Unfortunately there’s plenty of evidence of cut backs .On numerous occasions drinks were not available some even before we set off from Malta.we experienced being rushed in the MDR at breakfast and dinner and at breakfast we asked for a mushroom omelette but was told the chef wouldn’t make it !!
On a couple of occasions we even encountered rudeness from waiting staff ,food in general was good .

Our stop at Gythion was cancelled so instead we went to Souda bay .we got on a local bus and went to Chania a lovely place with great shops and a fantastic harbour well worth the trip

Not the first time I’ve heard that the food is not up to par on Azura, have had 2 friends on board on separate occasions & have both been on Azura before, one saying the food in MDR was cold & portions rather small, the other friend asked for more butter & was frowned upon. We are sailing on Azura after 3 night stay in Malta in September, I do hope things improve as this is for my birthday & ‘one will not be amused’

Thanks for the review, it's a shame you had the MDR experience that you described. The waiter should have said if omelette was an issue so bad communication in the MDR between chef and waiter. Did you report this to the officer in charge of the MDR?
We experienced a rude waiter and it can ruin the experience.
