Very Good Value by torcbrick358

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Enjoyed the itinerary which prompted my first time as an Azamara cruiser.  Very friendly service and extras that I especially enjoyed, complementary wine and AzAmazing complementary evening in Gibraltar.

Azamara Cruise Line cares about service by SallyC36342713

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

While I am new to cruising, I found that going on a smaller ship allowed for a more comfortable experience. There were no lines and there was a greater ability to meet people.

One of our most fabulous cruises!!! by Robertn99773503

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Just the right size for comfort and cruising stability, and only about 600 passengers (no crowds). We have taken over 30 cruises and we must say tha this was one of our very best experiences.

Worth the price by JohnM78

Overall the ship was beautiful. It is decorated in a somewhat formal style, but at the same time felt comfortable. It was very well laid out and very clean (hand sanitizer at every corner!). The service, food, and facilities were all top notch.

The Black sea cruise by AdolpheM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

I am 85 and in good health. So some activites did not interest me. I did not find a lot to do. Prof. Farcas' lectures were excellent.

Best cruise ever ! by LisaS7

I loved being on a ship with fewer people. We met some very interesting people. The excursions were fun and educational. Highly recommend this cruise line.

Wonderful Azamara Cruise by JanetC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Beautiful intimate ship, small enough to really get to know other passengers, big enough for lots of activities and entertainment. All of the staff from the Captain down were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and we loved the activities.

Great Cruise by RobbieR

Sail date: /
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We cruised on the Azamara Quest. This is a ship that truly deserves its 5 Star rating. The port of calls were outstanding, the food fantastic. The captain was very accessible and I had discussions with him at least 10 times. My wife made the comment after a couple of days at sea of "the question is whether we will ever cruise anyone but Azamara again?" This is how strongly we felt about the cruise.

Don't do it by Sxg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Our last cruise of 2008 was on the Celebrity Century which we enjoyed very much. This motivated us to take the Azamara Quest, billed as Celebritys luxury option. To our disappointment, this was certainly not the case. Eating on the ship was a disaster. The dining room service is poor at best. Several times incorrect foods were delivered and then taken to another table. The quality of food was at best mediocre. Upstairs in the Caf, there was never enough seating. Due to the fact that we became frustrated by carrying around our plates of food and not being able to find seating, we ate several meals at the outside grill which was the only place open on off hours or called room service. Room service was not a good option either, since one morning we received two breakfasts, one 45-minutes before expected (which we took) and one 45-minutes later than we requested (which we sent back, much to the annoyance of the person who delivered it). In addition, every one of the orders we placed with room service was either missing items or had the wrong items included. The ship itself is showing its age. It is obvious that routine maintenance has been neglected by the number of rust spots on the hull and generally shabby appearance of some the various rooms. This is a cruise line that should be avoided. With so many options available almost any other line would be a much better choice.

Great cruise! by DanaS3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We loved the size of the ship. We had plenty of choices of restaurants, activites and entertainment. Our stateroom was adequate and storage was enough for two females (lots of shoes)! We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and exercise facilities, although they could have used a few more employess in the spa. Overall we had a wonderful time and we would defininatly cruise on this ship or the sister "Journey" again.

DONT HAVE THEIR ACT TOGETHER by RobertL20

Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

THIS WAS OUR 8TH CELEBRITY CRUISE AND THE WORST WE ARRIVED AT 9 PM AND HAD TO CARRY OUR BAGS A LONG WAY AND ONTO THE SHIP; THE SHIP DID NOT GO TO THE PORTS PROMISED IN 2 CASES TO SAVE MONEY FOR THE SHIP; THE TOURS ALWAYS INCLUDED A MANDITORY SHOPPING HOUR AT A RIP OFF JEWELRY STORE. WHEN I COMPLAINED THE TOUR DIRECTOR SAID THAT THE TOUR COMPANIES CONTROLLED THAT. HE WAS NOT TOO BRIGHT. THE SHOWS WERE MEDIOCRE AT BEST ON A POSITIVE SIDE THE CABINS AND FOOD WERE EXCELLENT TH

Great Experience Despite Protocols by cruisellama

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Our first Azamara cruise. Started with the worst embarkation experience we've ever had, but ended as one of the most enjoyable cruises. Top end food and service. This line does not do heavy selling/add-ons/packages when you board. Lectures/seminars on excursion locations are very education and give a good framework of a destination before visiting. Discussions entailed history, politics, culture and economics of a destination. No seminars on where to buy Tanzinite or diamonds, just discussion about the culture. Depending on location, cultural immersions are offered. Since we sailed the Caribbean, they brought a Caribbean band, dancers, and singers on-board as the evening entertainment. Very enjoyable. Entertainment every night. Each show unique over the 15 days. Outside entertainers were brought in to augment the ship's entertainment team. When not attending shows, the bar venues hosted music (live or DJ) while enjoying libations. Traditional pool deck with 2 hot tubs, shuffleboard, ping pong are available. Small jogging track and sufficient sun deck space to accommodate all the guests. Lounge chairs are large and offer great cushions. Pool bar was very busy, but never much of a wait. Staff was fast. Smaller ships make it easier to socialize and meet people. Majority of passengers were US, but UK and CAN made up about a 1/3 of the guest rolls. Many of which were repeat Azamara cruisers. Definitely a mature demographic. Not a line for kids - simply no toys for them. Noticed 1 family with 3 teens, but that was about it for the youth. Easy to get between the decks, rarely did we use the elevators as there is only 2 flights of stairs between decks. In all a very good cruise, high value (we had a package that included drinks, internet, gratuities, and some OBC), great food and service. Its kind of a throw back to 70s-80s when cruises were more inclusive (less a la carte) - and less retail shopping push. Enjoyed the included 24h full menu room service. If it were not for rona protocols, they would set up a table setting in your room or balcony prior to your meal arriving. Will definitely go back to Azamara.

Disappointing by Bilgeclass

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Transatlantic

We wanted to book a future cruise but had to name a specific cruise and date to do so. Other cruise lines allow an open ended future cruise which we needed to do because we have many other future cruises already booked. In addition, because of all our problems on this cruise, we decided to forego any future Azamara cruises. It also took us a week to get our onboard account available and straightened out. There were also many, many, miscommunications from Azamara. No one seemed to know what was going on and as a consequence we missed many on board events.
