OH WHAT A CRUISE!!!!!! by sewgoodcat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

THIS 10 NIGHT AMALFI COAST & ADRIATIC CRUISE WAS OUR FIRST CRUISE TOGETHER AND IT WAS WONDERFUL.  THE STAFF ON THE QUEST, CAPTAIN CARL, RUBY (OUR BARTENDER), OUR CABIN STAFF, AND EVERYONE ON THE SHIP WAS WONDERFUL.   THE PORTS WERE A PERFECT MIX OF EUROPEAN HISTORY AND CULTURE AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LINE TO EVERYONE.  PERSONAL FAVORITES ARE TAORMINA  (CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE OVER AGAIN) AND MONTENAGRO (THE 17 MILE BICYCLE EXCURSION WAS GREAT)......ALSO THE AZAMAZING EVENING WAS BEAUTIFUL.  CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE CREW AGAIN ON OUR NEXT CRUISE.   ED & CATHERINE IANNOTTI

Amazing cruise by grandmamoochie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We enjoyed his cruise very much. The ports were perfect and all easily managed. We only did 2 excursions- the bike ride in Kotor and the Azamazing Evening which both were wonderful. The excursions were a little pricey and everywhere we went we could manage by ourselves or get a local driver right near the ship which gave it a more local flavor which we like. The food was great, the staff very accommodating, and there was plenty to keep you busy but still relaxed. I would totally recommend this ship and plan on doing another cruise with Azamara! Captain Carl was great and kept us all well informed as to what we needed to know and do. Treat yourself to at least one dinner in the specialty restaurants, they are terrific! Loved the White Night Party so much fun....

Azamara Quest Hemingway Hideaways by ragtimedan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: North America

Our first cruise on Azamara and we were very impressed with the ship.  We booked for New Orleans so the change of plans and visit to Cuba was a plus.  However, changing Mobile AL to Tampa was a negative for us.

Quest again by Cruiser85217810

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Our second cruise on Quest lived up to our expectations.  We would say the ports-of-call on our first trip (Bordeaux, Bilbao, St John de Luz, Lisbon, etc.) were far more interesting than this cruise but the islands we visited were beautiful and the water spectacular.  Quest or Journey would be our ships of choice on any cruise but, with only two ships, they don't always go where we want, when we want.

Azamara is Amazing! by OneFlesh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Mexico

We've cruised 3 times with Azamara and each has been great.

The friendliness of the staff and crew and excellence of service make this memorable. This was a special Valentine cruise for my wife and I celebrating our marriage. We enjoyed every minute. Once you do an Azamara cruise you will have a hard time settling for anything else.

Great Cruise Line, Great Itinerary, Too Many Days At Sea by neilungerleider

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Azamara is a great experience.  While it is more expensive, you get what you pay for in service, food and a great ship.  Our only criticism of this particular itinerary is that there are too many days at sea.  There are 2 1/2 to start the trip. That is too many.  A stop in Jamaica, which the ship passes by on the way to Colombia, would help.

First cruise on a smaller ship by stwells2001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Service was beyond excellent.  The embark/debark process was seamless as were the on & off procedures at the ports-of-call.  The food was excellent and varied; the ship was well-maintained and had a very visible, warm, friendly, out-going Captain.  This was the quietest cruise we've ever been on - no obnoxious cruise director & staff trying to get folks up to make fools of themselves or loud music blasting.  There were no photographers always in our faces trying to take those souvenir pictures for sale, but were available if desired. This West Indies Hideaway cruise was so relaxing and laid-back, but a little too much so for us.  Because of the small size, the evening entertainment options were very limited and not always of interest to us.  The shore excursion offerings were very sparse compared to our 16 previous cruises on multiple other lines.  The staff and crew were most accommodating, and the Caberet Room entertainment was excellent with very talented singers and dancers.  They also offered ballroom dance lessons by great Pro's.  Bar & Wait service and room stewards were also very good; the gift shop was a little small and limited, and we really liked the price inclusive beverages & gratuities - great idea!  We had trouble with the ship's internet but were not in dire need to use it often.  Overall, a very good cruise.

San Juan to Miami December 2016 by bushambellsouthnet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

The food and wine was beyond my expectations.  I am not a frequent cruiser and this was my first on Azamara.  The Discoveries restaurant was very nice and I wish I would have dined there earlier in the cruise.  It was much better than the open dining (and more casual) buffet type restaurant.

The staff was excellent.  Very professional and courteous - always on top of refilling drinks or clearing your table.

I was glad to purchase the internet package, but wished it was faster and could handle more than one person in my party.  We constantly had to switch off which was annoying.

I purchased the five bottle wine upgrade, but found the standard wines they served each day was more than adequate for my taste.

Will look to Azamara again as a first choice, but would love to have a room with a balcony in the future.

Not a Luxury Cruiseline in My Estimation by Jlsoftly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

The food and service were roughly comparable to the sister line, Celebrity.

I expected something special for New Year's Eve but was quite disappointed by the 'White Night' activity on the pool deck.  The conditions were so bad that we were unable to get out of port that night.  Then I realized the pool was the only area that could accommodate all of the passengers.

I did not consider this to be a good value for the price.

Azamazing Cruise by BarbK222

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

We loved the ports of call.  We visited ports that we had not cruised to before.  We were very disappointed that the stop at Virgin Gorda had been canceled and unfortunately Azamara did not give a credit towards another cruise, which was odd because we have received credits in the past.  Azamara is one of our favorite cruise lines.

For their Azamazing evening we went to the Antigua's Government House where we toured the house, met the Governor General Williams, had cocktails, canapes and deserts while listening to a steel band followed by a band and fireworks before returning to the ship.

A wonderful New Years Eve by agmaurici

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

My husband and I loved the cruise, especially that there were only 675 passengers.  It gives one a more intimate feeling.

The food was terrific. We enjoyed the specialty Italian restaurant--Aqualina.

Excellent Holiday get away by rjdnsd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Christmas Day lunch buffet and Christmas evening White Party buffet and entertainment. Great price for what they have in store for you.  We also had an anniversary celebration on board and they took care of recognizing us at the table with a shared cake and our statement was completely decorated, and awaiting for us after dinner.

Winter in the Caribbean by Cruiser9179925

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

Azamara staff wonderful as usual. Food very good. Ports visited very similar which tends to be a feature of the Caribbean. Entertainment O.K. but not wonderful. The cruise Director does not compare with Eric de Gray on the Journey. We will continue to sail with Azamara as it suits our needs. We love the informality and the friendly atmosphere on board.

All Five of Us by frenchda23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

I was very impressed by the lengths the Hotel Director, Ryszard, went to accommodate our party of three (my wife and I had a separate stateroom.  It is Azamara's personal touch that causes me to go back to them time after time.  The crew is very personable and so is the service staff.  It is a pleasure that I do not conceal from anyone interested in cruising: I tell them to try out Azamara.

Azamara amazing? Almost! by RLS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

As a frequent cruiser, we were looking forward to our first Azamara experience. It came very highly recommended, so our expectations were high. As far as service amd cleanliness, no problem. Food was good to very good. The specialty restaurants were excellent. The ship was comfortable, but not too exciting. Activities were limited. We stayed in a club suite which was nice, but the balcony was very narrow. Our biggest issue was the noise level above our cabin. ...under the cafe. Nothing could be done . The staff was totally aware of this issue, but nothing could be done.

We would return on another Azamara cruise, but would be more aware of cabin location!

Another Terrific Azamara Cruise by EElwin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Caribbean

What can you say?  Cruising with Azamara continues to be a great experience. We were on the Journey earlier this year and haven't been on the Quest for a while.  Since our last trip, the menu has been revamped and reorganized much for the better.  I don't know if it was this chef or an overall upgrade by Azamara, but I have to say the food was terrific, especially in the dining room.  All the main courses I had were outstanding, especially the veal chops.  The crew continues to be first rate. Kudos to Dale, Anthony, Naik and Metrizcal at the bars and Munna in dining.  The ports are what we've come to expect from Azamara with the exception of the poor Hop on Hop off excursion in Miami which was less than acceptable.  Still, we can' wait for our next Azamara cruise.

Wonderful Azamara by Tmichael28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Wonderful Cruise line. If you like a smaller ship, consider Azamara. The crew is terrific, the food is very good, and the ship is a nice size.  The only negative is the size of the shower in a regular state room. TINY!

Staff was awesome by ann624

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

I loved the staff.  However, sometimes for the excursions it was difficult to find out where we were supposed to meet and what time.  Also the 24 hour cancellation fee was a big cumbersome because sometimes we would feel tired but we still had to go on the excursion anyway.

Azamara Quest western. Mediterranean 8 night cruise by ekamhi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We loved the intimacy, close attention to detail, comfortable state rooms with terraces, ports of call and delectable food choices on this cruise!

The only criticism is the poor scheduling of the White Night . Scheduling this fabulous party on the last night of the cruise did not allow us to stay for long and really enjoy this wonderful event since we had to get up early to catch our return flight the next morning.

Thanksgiving in the Far East by Cruiser674

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Quest / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We choose this cruise because of the ports and tours.  We did a tour in every city, so did not do a lot on the ship.  We liked the smaller ship, but were a little disappointed overall.  We have been on larger ships and this is billed as the top of the line and we just didn't see it.  We had not cruised for 13 years, so maybe the next level is not as good now as it was then.  If you like the iteniary, the tours and guides are fabulous.  It is also fun to meet people from all over the world!
