"Not a great cruise experience"

Sail Date: June 01, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

When we booked this cruise we were to be on the Celebrity Zenith. Since Celebrity had changed our ship to their new "Azamara" Journey we were extremely disappointed in the whole experience. They have open seating on this ship, however, if you don't get there between 6-6:30 you will be waiting a minimum of 45 min just to get seated. In the Windows Cafe, there is not enough seating, utensils, or room to move when you are trying to get your food...no organization. Guest Relation desk staff has an attitude when you have a question and even when your card won't open your door!! We had to wait nearly an hour to get into our room after spending the day ashore and getting caught in the rain on the way back, we stood outside in the hall until finally they were able to locate a key, (seems the battery in our door went dead)
Really not much to do on the ship. Pool extremely small.

Pros: Waitstaff

Cons: Size of ship

Recommends Azamara Journey (RETIRED)? No.
