When disembarking just wait until the rush is over then leave. Enjoy some coffee and breakfast and just unwind while the people who chose early flights or rides fight each other to disembark. key word: just chill.

Since reservations must be made for early seating in restaurants make your reservations from Home early! You can always cancel on board but it is very difficult to get early seating once on board. And most of all check out the Solarium Bistro, go look at fabulous food preparation once on board

The cabin has a safe. Use it for your valuable. It was simply weird to see women strutting around with their pocketbooks aboard ship, out on the high seas, while just hanging out, supposedly on vacation . . . . . Just an observation . . .

Get ready for hard toilet paper! Septic compliant and biodegradable yes, but not bumpy friendly. :-) They have sinks where you must wash your hands with soap and water before you enter the Windjammer! Love it! Best thing on the ship!! No more being forced to use that nasty toxic hand sanitizer. I wish they could update all of their ships with the sinks but I know its not possible.

A few tips regarding Anthem. 1) It is very important to book things through the cruise planner as they become available. It will avoid frustration or disappointment if you can't do something because it wasn't planned ahead. 2) If you can't book something before, either download Royal IQ app and book once on board or get on the ship early and go directly to the Royal Theater 3) Do bumper cars on embarkation day - the lines weren't that long 4) Don't try to get an elevator as soon as a show or activity lets out - you will wait a long time. Instead, go find something to do on that floor for 15 minutes or go to the other set of elevators away from where the activity it. 5) Book Escape from the Future (Puzzle Break). So much fun! It only happens on Sea Days and can't be booked before so do it at Theater or through App. 6) Take a look around at all of the interactive art - really spectacular (I am not an art lover but there are a lot of cool things) 6) Check out 270 when you board for lunch. They were doing a little exhibition of all of the things the Robot screens can do which was really neat. 7) Get the WOW band in Bolleros for $5 (Junior Suite and above is free and it will be in your room). It gets you into your room, you can buy drinks or souvenirs with it too! Some people complained that they had to take it off when getting a drink - you will if you aren't near the register for them to scan it. YOU CAN'T USE IT TO GET OFF THE SHIP - YOU STILL NEED YOUR SEA PASS FOR THAT 8) Most importantly, have fun!

Book your shows in advance. Make your dinner reservations in advance. Bring a sweatshirt because it gets pretty cool at night watching late night movies at poolside...it was a great experience...

If you don't book your dinning and shows before you go, dont' worry or wait on line when you board the ship, you can do it on the app after you have sailed!

Go to Cafe 270 if you want a quick snack, portions are small but open more hours than the Windjammer. Get to the pool deck early if you want a chair by the pool.

I would recommend eating meals (or at least all dinners) in the standard dining room. This might not always be possible when traveling with children. I think the cruise was a good opportunity for families to get beautiful group photographs and because of that there were many extended families traveling together. Also, the "Family" pool was a terrific idea that allowed people with children to have a really fun time.

Reserve as much as they allow you to ahead of time. If you don't want to use your room key to activate lights etc. or use another card as I did, you can request a blank room card from Guest Services. Also ALWAYS have your card key as it is used for EVERYTHING on the ship. I didn't care for the idea that you needed to present your card to get a pool towel (make sure you return that towel to the attendant's area or you will be charged). We took ours to the room not knowing the policy and found a $100 charge on my bill....when we complained about this the charge was taken off. the other thing is at the bars you can only get one drink per card so if you wanted to get a round of drinks let's say, you had to collect the cards from the other folks and present them...after the fact I wondered if all the cards got hit with the drink charge as well. Sorry to say I wouldn't be at all surprised. Oh yeah, don't forget that tips are already included when they swipe your card so don't over tip unless you want to of course.

Book everything in advance as much as you can. It's kind of like Disneyland. You don't want to waste any time standing in line because you want to experience as much as possible!
