My sense is the Anthem of the Seas is a tourist factory at sea.
Embarkation

being that i was in a junior suite i was entitled to suite area. it was lovely.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
We ate in main dining room once. The waiters/servers were rushed and did not really engage with the passengers at all. It was a meal, not part of a cruise experience. The Windjammer was also disappointing. Items were not replenished as quickly as on other ships. It was always a fight to find a table. Fortunately, we were able to have dinner in Coastal Kitchen (we were in a junior suite). The service and food was fabulous in Coastal Kitchen.
Onboard Activities

I did North Star which was lovely. We tried to participate in an interactive program in two70 lounge area and there was no one there to explain the process of scanning. It was awful, everyone was running around with their phones trying to figure out the program. Too cheap to provide a guide to help us. Shame on Royal Caribbean.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The first night we saw "The Gift" which was very confusing. The music and songs were weird. We also saw "We Will Rock You" and it was FABULOUS. The music, the performance, the singing were all first-rate. Loved it.
Children's Programs
No Children on board with us.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The waiters and room stewards were overworked. Our room didn't get made up until 2:00/3:00 or so because he didn't have a helper. The crew in general did not seem happy. They were polite, but never smiled or even stopped to say anything. Rush, rush, rush.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The bathrooms were not as clean as I have experienced on other cruises. Will never sail on Anthem again.
Cabin / Stateroom

Adequate. There were plenty of drawers and storage area. The couch was too small for two people.
I had a COMPLETELY opposite experience on Anthem. She seems to be a "love it" or "hate it" ship based on the reviews. Hopefully this was a random event, either way too bad that you didn't enjoy your cruise as much as you wanted.
