Review summary

We have been on over 30 cruises, many with RCL and we were extremely disappointed with the Anthem; so much that we would not sail on it again.  Would rather be on an Oasis class ship than this one.  Staff was very friendly and courteous but failed to get resolved without multiple trips to Guest Services.

Children's program was wonderful; our grandson had a great time while at Adventure Ocean.

The big screen TV at the pool was a plus, except that really didn't play movies during the day; had a golf tournament on one day!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was not up to typical RCL standards; food was cold in Windjammer, finding a seat was almost impossible. Dining Room food was so-so, nightly choices were very limited.

Cabin steward was awesome!! Cabin was typical size, but when pull out couch was open, no room to get to balcony or fridge. Storage was plentiful.

Grab your tender ticket early; takes hours to get off ship. Our ticket wasn't called until 11:30! Chose to stay on board ship.

@cruiseryder. Here is the photo cindylee17 shared https://cruiseline.com/album/anthem-of-the-seas-caribbean-bahamas-2017-03-19-12388 of the pull out bed. cindylee17 advised This shows how close the sofa bed was to the balcony and the dresser. The sofa bed is between the regular beds and the balcony. When the sofa bed is not open, the cabin is fine to move around in. I hope this helps answer your questions. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for your review. I have just reserved this cabin for a transatlantic cruise, can you tell me was the couch by the balcony door, or the bed? Do you happen to have any pictures you could add? There will only be 2 or 3 of us in the room, so I don't think the sofa bed will be a problem, but maybe I should consider a room change. Any help or comments you have would be appreciated.

This makes no sense

What is your "issue"? People like to lay out around the pool or listen to the live bands when playing and do any pool activities going on. Wouldn't a movie be distracting to what is going on during the afternoon?? Plus people would be loud and in the way. It sounds like an awful idea!

So sorry you did not enjoy your experience!! We enjoyed the Anthem so much that we are taking our family- children and grandchildren -this July.!

Agreed. They Didnt play anything on the Big Screen when I was on it 3 weeks ago accept a tennis match. There are Concerts, i.e..Celine Dion live in London, Tina Turner live in Paris, etc...During the Day that are much much more enjoyable than looking at RCI screen saver.
