Review summary
The Anthem is a beautiful ship with nice cabins but the ship is too large with too many guests. Service on the ship was very good but the food was mediocre and they nickel and dime you for everything. Drinks were expensive so if you like a few martinies a day you would probably be better off bying one of their expensive beverage plans around $118 per coulple. The cruise went well except they returned two days early because of expected storms, so they say, but there was also Neuroviruse on board which the crew did their best to control. Overall it was good to get away from the cold but cruising on a large ship like this is not what we would do again.

Thank you for posting your review.
The more I hear about the mega-ships, the less inclined I am to book a cruise on them.

When the Oasis came out, my wife was bent on sailing on her. I thought to myself that a ship as big as that should be reserved for no less than 14 day cruises as there is WAAAY too much ship to take in within 7 days. Seems many of the complaints for the Oasis, Allure and now Anthem seem to turn that way. Seems also the Anthem is sailing on rough seas since her introduction. We are sailing the Oasis in May 2016 (my wifes Christmas present to us) so look for my review after we return. I seem to be more partial to 2000-3000 passenger limits. Seems you may be too. Better luck next time on a smaller ship. :)
