Summer cruising in Alaska is the perfect solution for relaxation and escaping the summer heat of southern California.   Be aware that even on HAL there will be more children than usual.  Adult supervision will be minimal.  We had a great time in spite of the challenges.

Ship Tip

Avoid late July/August bookings. Grand parents are sponsoring family reunions. Way too many kids for HAL to handle, because parents were not.

don't bother with a rental car. Parking availability is minimal and cost is very high.
