A disappointing cruise

Sail Date: September 16, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Nothing spectacular. Since this was the last cruise to Alaska for this ship it seemed that everything was put together at the last moment and individual service was very poor.

Pros: Indivual performers.

Cons: Singers/dancers were subpar compared to other cruises.

Recommends Amsterdam? No.

Food and Dining
We ordered breakfast in the room and 3 days it was incorrect and the 4th day we didn't get any at all. In the dining room they got my wife's order wrong while 3 of us were served.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was outside with obstructed view. We didn't realize and weren't told there would be a steel wall outside our window with nothing to see. It would have been less expensive to get an inside room.
Service and Staff
Some had an attitude.
Entertainment
We were late getting into port at 2 locations which cut down our land time considerably.
Ship Quality
The usual.

Got in late after dark. They say you can walk downtown. You can if you want to walk 2 plus miles each way. The transportation to downtown from the dock is expensive.
