You highly need to go on this ship
Wear comfortable shoes, you will be doing a lot of walking.
Don’t miss the ice show or the aqua theater performance.
Take the time for as many shows and entertainment
Be prepared to be spoiled and with that remember to tip everybody.
Get reservations for shows because they get crowded quick.
If you are a couple or an adult sailing on this cruise enjoy the solarium as much as you can!
Don’t bother with the speciality dining unless you have a really good deal. Don’t expect anywhere quiet to sit at night. Use room service on port days saves so much time.
Navio maravilhoso e grandioso.
Make sure you take photos from the public balcony on deck 9 near the elevators. There is no signage. Just a heavy door.
Get a room that is centrally located to where you spend the most of your time. It's a long walk from one end of the ship to the other!
The Park Cafe is the best place for lunch
The ship layout signs, near every elevator are very helpful and make it so easy to find where you are and where you want to go on the ship. We use the stairs as much as possible for 2 reasons: reduces being in elevators w/passengers that don't cover their face when they cough/sneeze, increased steps help w/extra calorie consumption. Look at the Park Cafe, Solarium & Wipe Out Cafe (less trafficked) food venues. If you have a refreshment or deluxe drink package, you can get the malts at Johnny Rockets as part of your package, (no extra cost), I had several, they are delicious. If you do not like paper straws, invest in the reusable metal or silicone straws and take w/you. I brought a metal straw/spoon combo for my frozen drinks. If you plan to purchase souvenirs from the ship stores, wait until the end of your cruise, sales are abundant. There is SO much to do and see, you will likely not be able to do it all, unless you decided not to get off the ship on port days. Decide what you want to see/do the most and make those items your priority. We did not have great weather this time, very windy, cloudy/overcast several days, but we still had a fantastic time. Your cruise is what you make it. Embrace all the fun.
We found the Cafe Promenade great for a cup of coffee. The Park Cafe is a good alternative to the Windjammer which we did not enjoy. Sorrentos is a great place to get pizza and a salad. The running track on deck 5 is nearly a 1/2 mile uninterrupted course which is a great location to work off those extra calories.
Unique experience for one time but I would not book again....ship is just simply too big and bigger isn't always better.
If you'e thinking of booking a cabin facing the Boardwalk or Central Park, even though they have balconies, consider that you will be facing opposite cabins only about 70 feet away; you'll ahve your curtains closed "all" the time for privacy. For that you can have an inside cabin.
Expect a very large ship with lots to do! It is a jewel within this fleet.
Explore the ship on embarkation day. Don't try to do everything all in one day.
