Review summary

The onboarding and offloading processes are much better than they used to be. Ports are nice except cozumel (tourist trap), and the staff on the boat were the best part of the cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The process of embarking was smooth and effortless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not do specialty dining, but the dining room experience was exceptional and the buffet was always wonderful. They had great selections for every member of the family.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools, mini golf, rock climbing, zip lining, basketball court, and the kids even enjoyed the movie theater.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The music was wonderful, the shows were great, and they even had an ice skating show that was really cool.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our children enjoyed going to the kids club and even asked to go back.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our trip as wonderful as possible.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and the layout was easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size was a tad small for 5 people, but they had beds for everyone so no one had to sleep on furniture as has happened in the past. The room was always kept clean and the balcony was wonderful to have.

Ship tip

Be sure to check out the garden area on board. It was a wonderfully relaxing area.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
This port was fine. There are no excursions here, its just where you get on and off the boat.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
This port was beautiful, small and quaint with not a lot of shopping, but it was fun to see some of the native heritage on display. We did not do an excursion.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Costa Maya had the bluest waters of any of the stops. We could see fish right from the docks. We did not do an excursion.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Cozumel is a giant tourist trap. Its nice to get off the boat and see a few things, but the locals all cat call people into their shops and if you aren't doing an excursion (like us) then its just trying to avoid people trying to force you into their shops. Port was nice and clean though.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was much faster than it used to be. Elevator rides ares still a bit tricky, but literally nothing can be done about that. It was a much better experience than the waiting in a giant line that used to happen.
