Review summary

Great time on Allure. Easy on and off. Not generally crowded in any one area except the pools. Lots to do on this HUGE ship.

Embarkation

Terminal was busy but very organized chaos.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Overall a another great cruise. Food is generally good but sometimes needs a bit more seasoning. Always variety of food available in many locations. Drink package was nice to have.

Trellis Bar

5 out of 5

Always my favorite place for a drink. Great bartenders! Fun!

Solarium Bar

5 out of 5

Great view, quiet, but fun with great bartenders!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always lots to do. Evening shows were great. Did zip line (on ship). Pools were busy. Reserve your spots ahead of time if that is an option in Cruise Planner.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Again, lots of options for everyone. All but the Headliner act were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is always friendly and saying "hello". Room steward was great. Waiter in MDR was not a bunch of fun, but very attentive. Assistant was great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
HUGE ship but rarely congested. Seems to be well laid out and organized. They were always cleaning something.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was fine. You are rarely in it with so much to do. It was clean. This room was in the very front of the ship so we had a huge window compared to standard ocean views on the sides of the ship.

Ship tip

Sign up as far in advance for shore excursions and events on the ship in Cruise Planner. App is OK to communicate but doesn't always notify you when you get a message.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Just airport to ship

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Rail and Sail was nice.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Bacardi factory excursion wasn't the greatest. You go to the factory where it is made and you don't get to sample what they make? One free mixed drink didn't cut it for me after the long explanations of all that goes in to each of their rums.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
It is Nassau. Long tour on cramped bus to a bunch of scenic locations. Nice but nothing great and too many of us cramped on to the bus.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Again, well organized for 5000+ people.
