Overall we had a great time aboard The Allure of the Seas. The staff was fantastic and I really like the design and layout of the ship and all that there is to do on board. I like the itinerary it offers and the different options available to choose to do at each port of call. Although Allure is not going to be my next cruise, I would definitely do another cruise aboard this ship again. I would definitely recommend Allure of the Seas to others. I would like to add that while our entire cruise was not perfect, we went on it with the attitude that we were going to have a great time, relax, meet new people, and try new things. This attitude going into it made it a great cruise!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our embarkation process went very smoothly. We completed our boarding requirements online prior to the cruise so by doing the online check-in, it made the actual physical check-in process very quick and easy. When we arrived at the terminal we gave our luggage to one the gentleman taking the luggage, checked in, and then waited roughly a half hour or so before we were able board. There was plenty of seating and the room temperature was comfortable. Overall a good experience.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did the ultimate dining package for this cruise and this was our first time doing that. I really enjoyed doing the ultimate dining package as we had the chance to eat at all of the specialty restaurants. We ate Sabor, Chops Grille, Giovanni's Table, 150 Park Central, Samba Grille, and Izumi. They were all excellent. The quality of the food was amazing and we received excellent service as well. We did not eat at the Windjammer or Main Dining Rooms this time like we have in the past, however, I would highly recommend trying the Ultimate Dining Package to others. Our favorite places to stop in for a beverage were the Schooner Bar and the wine bar Vintages. We especially enjoyed Vintages and the service there was excellent. They were friendly and informative. We did a wine tasting there one day as well and really enjoyed it. Overall an excellent beverage and dining experience.
Vintages Wine Bar
5 out of 5
This was one of my favorite places to spend time while on my cruise aboard the Allure of the Seas. The staff there was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. We even took part in one of the wine tastings they put on and had a great time. It was entertaining and educational. I have a whole new appreciation for the commitment to the high level of service that the 3 Daniels and Gemma provided, along with the time they put in to study and taste the wines and to give you a history of them. They also have to know enough to make recommendations based on each person's pallet, which is pretty cool. I would definitely recommend stopping by and spending time at Vintages while on a Royal Caribbean ship, especially on the Allure of the Seas!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We took part in the trivia offered along with attending some karaoke. We even reserved a spot on the Rising Tide Bar for the Hallows Party and Parade. There are so many other activities that we did not get a chance to do that it makes it yet another reason to book another cruise on Allure of the Seas!
Entertainment
We did not attend any of the shows this time, however last time we did attend the Aqua show, Blue Planet, and the Ice show. Would still like to check out the comedy show and Mama Mia. Overall though I have found the shows to be entertaining and fun
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I found the service provided by the staff to be excellent. Our stateroom attendant Yvette was friendly, outgoing, and did an excellent job. She engaged us in conversation and always asked if we needed anything or if there was something we wanted. She did a great job. The 3 Daniels and Gemma at the wine bar Vintages were friendly and very informative. They answered our questions about different wines and pairings of food with them. They were very engaging and made us feel welcome. Mike and Maria at the Rising Tide Bar offered great service, as did Pool Side Server, Fery. He was excellent and would come up and ask us if we needed anything. These are just a few of the crew aboard the Allure of the Seas who provided outstanding service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I think the ship's layout and design are pretty amazing when you really look at everything they put on and into that ship. I really enjoy the Boardwalk, Central Park, and Aqua Theater designs. I found the ship to be clean and there were areas the crew we're doing touch up work. Overall the cleanliness and design are solid!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our Boardwalk Balcony room was great. We were able to look down on to the Boardwalk and into the Aqua Theater, and could even see the ocean through the opening in the back of the ship. Although it could be a little noisy, at night we did not have any issues. Although I do prefer the exterior balcony rooms, I would do a Boardwalk Balcony room again.
Ship tip
A tip in regards to sailing the Allure of the Seas is to make the most of your experience on board. Go to the shows, participate in the activities, try new things that you have not done before. There is so much to do on the ship that there really is something for everyone, even for those who prefer to stay inside and relax. Great ship!
This was our second time at the Port Everglades Port in Ft. Lauderdale. We love to come down and visit for a few days before the cruise. We have found our experience at the terminal to be very positive. Rather quick drop off, and able to identify where to leave our luggage and where to go to check in. Also, the Port is close to the airport as well, which makes it ideal. Overall I like this port.
We did not do an excursion, however, we did walk from the ship to Great Bay Beach in Philipsburg and rented a few beach chairs and proceeded to just relax and enjoy soaking in some sun and hanging out in the water. The beach and water were amazing and we had great weather. We met some cool people from the ship while visiting a local establishment and overall had a great day and great experience. St. Maarten is one of my favorite islands for these reasons!
We did not do an excursion at San Juan, but did manage to walk around the area and overall did close to 5 miles. We visited the fort and had a great time reading about its history and seeing its overall size. We took a ton of pictures in Old San Juan, especially from the fort. It's great to see the businesses and area continuing to recover. We had lunch at Tijuana's and the headed back to the ship. We enjoy visiting and walking around Old San Juan. Another great time at this stop!
This was my first time at Labadee. Although we did not do the zip lining, jet skis, kayaking, paddle boarding, or water slide, we did get some beach chairs at Columbus Cove Beach and laid out in the sun. The weather was amazing and we had a great time hanging out in the water and using the water mats to relax on. The lunch was good and we enjoyed a relaxing day having some beverages and meeting some new people. Overall a great experience at Labadee and I would definitely book another cruise with this port as part of the itinerary!
We did the Express Check Out and walked off with our own bags. From the time we left our room until we got off the ship and through customs was probably a total of 15 minutes or a little less. This was due to us having an earlier flight and I would do the Express Check Out again. Overall a great disembarkation process!
Great approach! We went on Allure this summer and sleep had a great time after sailing on Oasis last year. This class ship exceeded my expectations. Glad you had a good cruise.
