Review summary

I enjoyed the lush landscaping of Central Park every morning with my coffee and the singing of the birds.

The outstanding dining room service from our head waiter Thomas and his assistants made a great ending to our days.

The nightly shows are professionally produced, but the shows were the same as three years ago.
It would be refreshing to see some change to the shows for repeat cruisers.

I would recommend the Allure to anyone that wants to be spoiled and pampered while they are cruising.

It was nice, but a bit smaller than some smaller ships that we had traveled on.

Ship tip

If you like a more peaceful time when laying out in the sun, go to the solarium on the front of the ship. There is a pool with fountains, hot tub, and a bar. Ages 16 and up only.

The Straw market has gone down hill. A lot of junk from China. We were asked to go down a seedy alley to look at fake purses. We were probably asked 50 to 75 times to go on a tour or to buy something. There were people trying to tie little bracelets on your arm and they tell you a sad story to get money. I will never go back except to stay in a resort.

Great place to shop downtown. You won't get followed by people hounding you to shop.

Went on an excursion to Orient Beach. The beach was great and the buffet was awesome for lunch. A few women came by to try to sell things. They would leave you alone if you said no thank you.
