Amazing Seven Days on the Allure at sea

Sail Date: April 24, 2016

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

We were five adults and two children. All of us loved the cruise. All three staterooms on the eleventh floor were very comfortable. On the second day we realized that our room attendant was not up to snuff. We complained to the chief manager, and immediately after, we had a new person, who was outstanding.

Every evening we met at our assigned table, and was served by an outstanding waiter, who remembered our names , and learned very quickly what each person liked or disliked in the menu, and accommodated us accordingly. The food always was delicious and plentiful. Most of the shows were wonderful, except the comedian, who was awful - foul language, meaningless jokes and a waste of time. Best show, Mama Mia, was fantastic, so was Oceania and Blue Planet.Ice show did not stand up to  the others. There were plenty of activities for all of us to be involved with.

All in all, it was a wonderful vacation trip for the entire family.

Cabin / Stateroom
Great Cabin, well designed to give the most comfort one can expect to get on the ship.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
embarkation was fine, but leaving the ship, the lines going through customs and Passport checks were terrible - Very long and tiring. It took away a bit of the wonderful time we had on the ship itself.
Ship Quality
Fabulous: Beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The only criticism: the pools were not heated, and even though I am a swimmer, I Avoided swimming in the pools. the water was too cold.
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
All the shows ,except the comedian, were great, Particularly Mama Mia, Oceania and Blue Planet
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
delicious and plentiful

What a dump. The under water museum was a great disappointment. I would have liked to have more local shops with local merchandise.
